Looking back 2011, I have my fair share of happiness, sorrow and anger.

During the first half of 2011, I was still back in the sandpit trying to complete a dream I was trying to fufill...... To See the World! Though bits and pieces of this dream of mine can never be completed, I am contented.

I did not just see the world with the eyes of a tourist but I also seen poverty, war and more. I step into places like Yemen where commoners hang daggers at their waist and tanks and soilders roam the streets. I also spend a day in Islamabad where Osama was killed a week after I left. I seen hungry children in the street of North Africa. I went to places where everybody stare at me like I'm a alien cause they never seen foriegners before.

This period, I have pretty much find myself, did lots of soul-searching since there too much "me-time". I realise how unappreciative I have been all these while and how typical Singaporean (whose favourite hobby is to complain) I used to be.

I cultivated the love for reading newspapers. I did it initally cause I miss home, so the only way to feel closer to home is to update myself with the local news back home and listening to local radio station. But XINMSN doesn't work overseas. DAMN.

I also see through some friends which I finally come to realise enough is enough. Please don't blame me for disappearing after I came back. Though I never tell you in the face and maybe you never knew, but you really disappoint me time and time again, until I told myself this is the last straw. Even OUR COMMON FRIENDS told me you have cross my limit and I was too giving.

Babe, I was there when you needed me but you were never there whenever I needed you.

Living in this super oil-rich country, open my eyes to the world, how cruel, how unfair, how ridiculous this world can be. Thus allowing me appreciate my homeland so much more. I learn to stop comparing myself to her, them and the world cause it would be endless. Look around and appreciate what you have and be contented. Though he think overwise.

Goodbye Qatar. Thank you for inviting me for this ONCE IN A LIFETIME experience. There too many FIRST here I encounter here and I NEVER regret coming. But I still do NOT really like you.

People always ask me whether I miss you. I thought it about it and I realise what I really missed most is my own private toilet. TAT ALL!
But recently, I start missing some of my friends who also headed home.
Now since I'm home, things pretty much gone smoothly as I planned. I must say that I just slipped back to my Singapore's lifestyle and I felt that I had never left. The past 2 years seems like a dream and I do admire my own courage. Thank God. Praise the Lord.

I managed to drag myself back to school and got myself back to flying part time where I can cope with my studies and expenses at the same time.

But what really makes me complete is to be back with my family, friends and love ones. Thank you for being there for me all these while.

Ok. Since it a brand new year, I shall lay out my new resolutions!

1. To complete my degree with flying colours!

2. To cut down on taking taxis!

3. Save more money and stop spending unnecessary!

Though my year started with a parking fine of $50 at 0011AM on the 1/1/12!

OMG! ANOTHER FRAUD!

I got myself a bed from beds.sg few months ago.

And it was very uncomfortable. Me and smelly pig always felt that we had sleepless nights and I suffer from back aches in the morning. So seriously, don buy cheap mattress.

So after a full month (today date my one month of being back in Singapore! YEA!) of sleeping on that bed, I decided to get myself another bed from a trusted mattress brand.

So I order a SEAHORSE brand bed from sleeppost.com and made a credit card transcation!

The transcation was approved but no confirmation email was made from sleeppost.com so I call the contact number on the website.

The uncle got back to me this every morning and says everything is finalized and he was deliver my mattress tml! Yeah!

Than just 1 hr ago, I recieved this email.

I got abit puzzle coz the uncle already said my transcation is settled, why these???

So I gave a benefit of doubt and started to fill it up until I reach the CREDIT CARD EXPIRY DATE & SECUIRTY CODE.

WHO THE HELL WILL ASK FOR THAT? IF I GAVE IT TO U MEANS U CAN MAKE ANY TRANSCATION ON MY CARD!!!

So I call back the uncle and the uncle ask me not to reply that email and say this is SCAM!!!!. These people actually track the website and than send this email. Once they have your information, they used your credit card to buy BILLIONS OF THINGS.

And he also say "WAH, u also very SMART"!

Haha.. I KNOW. =P

Amoi's Hainanese Chicken Rice's RICE!

Finally I figure how to make Chicken Rice's RICE!

Ingredients

4 Cups of Jasmine Rice

2 Complete Garlics

1 Onion

1 Ginger

1 Tbs Sugar

2 Tbs Cooking Oil

1 Tbs Rice Vinegar

1 Ts Chicken Powder

Few drops of Seasame Oil

Chicken Stock Left over from cooking the chicken just enough to cover the rice with one pinkie finger.

Instructions

1. Blend all the garlic, onions and ginger in the blender

2. Heat the work, put the oil, put all the blended garlic, onions and gingers in to fry.

3. Add in the washed rice and stir fry

4. Add sugar, sesame oil, chicken powder, rice vinegar

5. And now either you add in the chicken stock in the same pot or you can choose to transfer to the rice cooker to do the job.

YOU ARE DONE! =)

When I was young, I was a skinny bitch. that I try to make myself fat.

Thus, I took that for granted.

And age wait for NO WOMEN.

Over the years of excessive drinking, unhealthy style of eating and no excerise and working as a assistant producer for this variety show call Buffet Buffet on channel 8.

I become FAT!

Now I am paranoid.

Now I try to have a healthy diet.

I gave up my favourite soft drink coke. even diet or zero. and any other soft drink.

I started drinking lots of freshly brewed tea. (without sugar)

But I still couldn't give up beer. :(

I got my track shoes from Singapore to D*** to work up in the gym in my building but sad to say feets are still not willing to walk me there yet.

I try to eat only home cook food as I can control the MSG and salt intake.

I try not to eat on board flight as well.

I always force myself to finish my food cause from young I was taught not to waste food. (rem when your mum always say in africa, ppl don't even have food to eat)

Now, if i'm full. I stopped.

I take alot of yoghurts, laban and fruits.

But still I cannot live without meat.

Seriously I think my determination is pretty much low.

argh. I hate myself and I'm angry like a angry bird!

A Moi's Hainanese Chicken Rice

Ingredients

One whole Chicken

Salt

8 Cloves of Garlics

5 Slices of Ginger

Sesame Oil

Light Soya Sauce

Preparation

Rub whole chicken with Salt

Stuff Garlics + Ginger into the chicken

Boil Water

(enough to cover the whole chicken)

Put the chicken in and boil at LOW HEAT for 40 mins

(it ok if the garlic and ginger come out from the chicken)

After 40 mins, take out the chicken and rinse it with COLD WATER.

Massage chicken with sesame oil and light soya sauce

Chop the chicken up!

P.S: I don't think I'm good at making the rice yet, so I recommend buying a green colour small box of pre mix for the rice at supermarket. It only SIN $1.30 as long as I rem. Anyway, it takes alot of hard work or blending and etc

I'm sorry I neglected this space for a while.

I'm just so lazy to blog......

On the plane to Athens, flight was onli 1/10 full. Ground staffs just want to put us to sit in the windows seat squeeze with other paxs and split me and su apart?

Hello? If making us uncomfortable is ur pleasure, have u even consider about other paxs? don you think they like some privacy as well? Don't you think they feel irritated if everytime they have to move when I need to use the toilet?

Brainless freaks. fuck spiders and die.

And what more to say? one particular crew on this flight is lazy and rude.

We took the taxi down to our hotel.

1st: They said it is FLAT FARE

But in the end they charge us another. WTF.

2nd: Trains and buses are on strike that leave us no choice. Anyway we din noe about this until we reach the hotel. So the reason is back to point one!

We stayed in The Athens Gate Hotel. It is 85 euros per night and I really the hotel. It is even better than the crew hotel in frankfurt!

Our very first meal of the day in Athens. Very ATAS resturant but very good service. Food so so only

I had a rabbit. ok I feel bad already. So I din finish it in the end.

We had breakfast just by the acropolis!

One thing I don understand is why all the statues here are HEADLESS?

Ginger & Spring Onion Pork

I have been staying in the Middle East ALONE for the last 1 year 8 months.

I have always enjoy cooking! And the takeout here aren't so fantastic! So I perfer to spend my time discovering new recipes and spending my off day to cook. So stop looking at me as if I am a BIMBO!

Ingredients

250g of Pork Belly

1 Teaspoon of Minced Garlic

5 Slices of Gingers

2 Stalks of Spring Onions

1 Onion

1 teaspoon of Cooking Oil

Pepper to taste

1 tablespoon of Hua Tiao Jiu (Chinese Cooking Wine)

1/2 tablespoon of Soya Sauce

1 tablespoon of Oyster Sauce

Prepare

1. Heat wok (high heat) and add oil. (we don't need so much oil coz some lard will be produce from the pork belly itself!)

2. Salute the garlic till light brown (change the heat to medium high)

3. Fried the sliced gingers and add onions and spring onions and salute.

4. Add pork and than start adding the rest of the ingredient and salute until the pork is cooked and U ARE DONE!

Isn't it easy ? =)

Me and Su just went to Athens for a holiday on our 3 days off!

It's amazing how we started by just having causal talks to booking of hotels and flying there!

Anyway, we nearly missed the flight coz Su overslept.

I'm so proud of myself being able to read the map and brought Su around Athens without getting lost!

Yindee Jewelry Thai Scams!

Sorry for not updating for sometimes as I left my laptop in Doha so currently I'm using dear's IPad (our 2 years anniversary present from me!)

Just came back from Bangkok where I spend S$1K alone just on shopping! I bought US$700 and I still end up using my credit cards and getting cash from smelly pig. *shame on me*

Anyway on our last day, we met some CONMEN! I figure out I have to warn everyone and online is the best way to spread the words.

We was outside Pratunam center trying to figure out our direction how to cross the road to Pratunam area where this thai guy appear and try to help.

He asked us where are we from and when we say Singapore. He kept saying, KA YI NANG", which means "own people" in Hokkien.

Than he offer to draw a map for directions but all he wrote is MBK, PLATINIUM MALL, PATPONG blah blah which is all the common places in Bangkok. *which I start to find it WIERD*

Than he asked us whether we pray already and today is BUDDHA DAY and this temple is only open once a year for this Occasion and Pratunam will be having a 50% sales after 3pm. Tuk tuk will also be very cheap for this day and it will only cost us 30 bahts back and fro and he even wait for us while we pray. (Anyway I'm Christian and I don't pray but smelly pig does)

I got WTF cause anytime of the year I come to Bangkok, regardless of ANYTIME, the locals always tell me today is Buddha Day. (The last time I came they told me the restaurant are close coz it Buddha day so they bring me to restaurant to cheat my money)

Both of us din want to go but he kept pushing us to a direction to a tuk tuk, but we k siao walk away but he seems so persistent that he even approach a tuk tuk for us and bargain the price for us.

We went, the tuk tuk driver is too nice and he bought us around the temple and finally got us into the "Lucky Buddha Temple"

Another man approaches us saying that I cannot wear hat in the Temple.

He started talking and talking for some times, and dear mention we are from Singapore. He was shock and say he works in Singapore as well.

I got WTF. HELLO??? You had been talking us for so long and you been working in Singapore for so long. COME ON; don't tell me you cannot figure out our accent from the start.

He started to say he came with his wife and daughters, he came back from Singapore for these 3 days cause of the very cheap wholesale sales. He began to talk about coincidences like he also took a very cheap tuk tuk, he also leaving on the same flight as us tonight, he came also on the same flight with us in.

Then he show me a receipt where he bought Blue Sapphire stones, red rubies, BLAH BLAH from this YINDEE JEWELLARY. And what puzzles me is IT IS HANDWRITTEN IN ENGLISH.

Come on, YOU ARE THAI, THIS SHOP IS THAI and you telling me it is written in English?

He say Yindee Jewellery supplies jewelleries for Poh Heng, SooKee in Singapore and it not open to public only these 3 days cause it their 30th Anniversary and they are giving 30% discount.

Finally we left, tuk tuk ask us where we want go. We say we want to go back to Platinum Mall.

But in the end he sends us to Yindee Jewellery when we din even ask him to.

We went in to old tattered shop and walk one round and left and the tuk tuk driver did not send us back to Platinum Mall. He just sends us to his exact location where he saw him.

The more I think, the more unusual it gets. I told smelly pig that this 3 people is connected somehow. But he just tells me NOT TO THINK SO MUCH and Thai people are just VERY NICE. *puke*

True enough, when I came back to Singapore, I make a search online and I find the exact same story to mine but this people really bought stones from them but they are FAKE.

I wonder how these people even sleep at night when they actually lie in what they call THE HOLY GROUND of the temple. Shame on you!

My Birthday 2010!

Every year, I seem to be getting less and less excited about celebrating my Birthday. The thought of aging and getting more responsibilities to bear or getting left on the shelf just turn me off.

Spend my New Year Eve and Day at Geneva with my Batch Girl, Tamali.

Managed to count down Singapore's Timing New year on the street with my crews in Geneva.

Spend the actual countdown in Switzerland in bed as I have a early wake up call the next day.

Somethings I decided to resolve this year

1. Save more money and stop spending so much!

2. Finish all my destinations I want to travel before my bond ends.

3. Stop swearing and cursing so much!

Ok! I need to rush for flight soon before I head back to Singapore tonight!

It was so cold. The moment I stepped out of the hotel, I couldn't feel my hands under my pig skin gloves anymore after a few minutes!

Thank God for very nice crew and even cockpit crews on this flight!

Went to catch a 4 hrs opera call 'Snow Maiden' with my crew at Bolshoi Theatre.

Haha! I slept almost throughout the whole opera. I did try very hard to keep awake but their singing was like a lullaby to put me back to sleep! But I wake up in the time to watch them say BYE BYE!

I like this hotel in moscow. They even give us Pillow spray to let us sleep better!

This layover at Shanghai, I was able to meet up with my darling batch girl Meteor whom I gave the wrong no. of my hotel and she called every hotel in Shanghai at Pudong and managed to find my room no.

And she travelled all the way down to my hotel and look for me and even treat me to Xiao Long Bao at Yu Yuan. Promise next time is my treat!

Giant Xiao Long Bao! And really burn your tongue drinking with that straw. But it Tasteless!

And than I also meet up with Hua Jing which is also a darling who brought me around Shanghai and send me all the way back to the hotel.

This 3 sectors flight is exhausting.

I intended to head out to have dinner with the crew, but I was too lethargic to do so.

Anyway, I don't really like this place either cause the locals stare at me as if I'm a alien like they never seen asians in their whole life! The streets isn't too safe either, I heard too much stories about robbery and man following you.

Wanted to swap this flight away but this guy took like the very last minute to put a swap form into my pigeon hole. Hello? I msg you once the roster is publish and I only saw the swap form when I finish the flight. duh

So I end up ordering couscous from room service which is supposedly to be their famous local dish.

不是说佷好吃， the bread is very nice though.

Wanted to do a Morrocon Bath also known as Hammams in arabic, but all the appointments are full. =(

They said that the Morrocon Bath, they scrub you real clean. Really wanted to give it a try on this trip. HAI!

Next stop, Shanghai!
Where I need to bring back tons of DVDs back to exchange! I bought a total of 42 pcs of discs from my last trip!
